Please read carefully. These Terms include a binding arbitration clause (Section 22), a class action waiver (Section 22.3), a real-person verification requirement (Section 3), live broadcast conduct rules (Section 6), limitations on liability (Sections 19–20), and a strict 18+ age requirement. By using Sonnet, you agree to these Terms in full.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Sonnet ("we," "our," or "us") governing your access to and use of the Sonnet mobile application and all related features and services (collectively, the "Service"). Sonnet is a global livestreaming platform where you can broadcast your talent, share daily Moments, and watch others as a viewer. Because Sonnet broadcasts real people in real time, we require real-person verification — a liveness check with no identity documents collected — before you can go live or post Moments. Watching public content does not require verification. By registering for or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms in their entirety. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
01
Acceptance of Terms
1.1 — Binding Agreement

By downloading, installing, registering for, or using any part of the Service, you enter into a legally binding contract with Sonnet effective as of the date of your first access.

1.2 — Incorporated Documents

These Terms incorporate by reference our Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines, and any other policies we publish within the Service. In any conflict, these Terms shall prevail unless a supplementary policy expressly governs a specific subject matter.

1.3 — Language

These Terms are drafted in English, which is the controlling language. Any translation is for convenience only; in any inconsistency, the English version governs.

02
Eligibility & Registration
2.1 — Age Requirement

The Service is available exclusively to individuals who are 18 years of age or older. By registering, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18. We reserve the right to immediately terminate any account where we have reasonable grounds to believe the holder is under 18, without prior notice or liability.

2.2 — Accurate Registration

You agree to provide truthful, current, and complete registration information, including your real date of birth. Providing false information to circumvent the age restriction is a material breach of these Terms and grounds for immediate permanent account termination.

2.3 — One Account Per User

Each individual may maintain only one active Sonnet account. Creating duplicate accounts to evade bans, suspensions, or enforcement actions is prohibited and may result in permanent termination of all associated accounts.

2.4 — Third-Party Sign-In

You may register via Apple Sign-In or Google. By doing so, you authorize Sonnet to receive limited profile information from those providers as permitted by your consent settings, subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

2.5 — Geographic Availability

The Service may not be available or fully functional in all jurisdictions. You are responsible for ensuring your use complies with the laws of your country of residence.

03
Real-Person Verification
3.1 — Verification Requirement

Because Sonnet broadcasts real people to a real audience, you must complete a liveness check — confirming you are a real, present human, without submitting any identity document — before you may go live or post Moments. See our Privacy Policy, Section 3, for details on how this data is collected, used, and retained.

3.2 — Not an Identity Check
Real-person verification confirms liveness only. It does not verify your legal name, age beyond your self-reported date of birth, or identity against any government record. It exists to reduce bots, deepfakes, and impersonation on the platform — not to authenticate who you are.
3.3 — Accuracy of Verification

You must complete the liveness check yourself, in real time. Attempting to use pre-recorded video, static images, deepfake or synthetic media, or any other method to circumvent the check is strictly prohibited and grounds for immediate account termination.

3.4 — Access Without Verification

You may browse and watch public livestreams and Moments without completing verification. Verification is required only to broadcast or post your own content.

3.5 — Re-Verification

We may require re-verification periodically or upon detecting signals suggesting your account may be compromised, automated, or associated with suspicious activity. Failure to complete requested re-verification may result in suspension of broadcasting and Moments access.

04
Account Security
4.1 — Credential Security

You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. Do not share your password with any third party. Sonnet will never request your password through any communication channel.

4.2 — Unauthorized Use

Notify us promptly at service@sonnet.run if you suspect unauthorized use of your account. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sonnet is not liable for losses arising from unauthorized use prior to your notification.

4.3 — Account Responsibility

You are fully responsible for all activity occurring through your account, including all streams broadcast, Moments posted, and purchases made, whether or not personally initiated by you.

05
The Service
5.1 — What Sonnet Offers

Sonnet is a global livestreaming platform providing:

  • Live broadcasting tools for sharing talent, performances, and skills in real time, subject to real-person verification
  • Daily Moments for sharing short updates, photos, or clips between broadcasts
  • Viewer features for discovering, watching, and interacting with live and recorded content
  • Virtual gifting to support creators during livestreams
  • Following, commenting, and community discovery features
  • In-app purchases for virtual currency and optional premium features
5.2 — Service Availability

We strive for continuous availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access, particularly for live streaming, which depends on network conditions and third-party infrastructure. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, infrastructure issues, or events beyond our reasonable control.

5.3 — Service Evolution

Sonnet is continuously developed. We may add, modify, or discontinue features at any time. We will provide reasonable advance notice of material changes affecting your use of the Service.

06
Livestreaming Conduct
6.1 — Real-Time Responsibility

As a broadcaster, you are solely responsible for everything said and shown during your livestream. Because streams are live, you must exercise judgment in real time to avoid sharing prohibited content, private information about yourself or others, or content violating our Community Guidelines.

6.2 — No Dangerous Stunts

You may not perform or encourage dangerous physical stunts, self-harm, or activities posing a serious risk of injury during a broadcast, even when framed as a "talent" demonstration.

6.3 — Live Interruption Rights

We reserve the right to interrupt, mute, or terminate any livestream immediately, without prior notice, if it violates these Terms or poses a safety risk, including risk to the broadcaster, viewers, or third parties.

6.4 — Optional Recording

You may choose whether your broadcasts are saved as replays. If saved, replays remain subject to the same content standards as the live broadcast and may be removed post-hoc if a violation is identified after the fact.

6.5 — Talent Content Focus

Sonnet is built around sharing genuine talent, skills, and daily life. Streams consisting primarily of content unrelated to these purposes, or designed to circumvent content standards through live delivery, may be removed.

07
Daily Moments
7.1 — Verification Required

You must complete real-person verification (Section 3) before your account may publish Moments publicly.

7.2 — Content Standards

Moments must comply with our Community Guidelines, including prohibitions on misleading claims, sexually explicit content, and content that endangers or exploits others.

7.3 — Expiry Settings

Where Sonnet offers expiring Moments, you are responsible for understanding the visibility duration you select before publishing. Expired Moments are removed from public view but may be retained briefly for safety and moderation purposes as described in our Privacy Policy.

08
Viewer Mode & Guest Access
8.1 — Watching Without Verification

You may browse and watch public livestreams and Moments without completing real-person verification. A registered account is required to comment, follow, or send gifts, but verification specifically is not required for these viewer actions.

8.2 — Viewer Conduct

Viewers must comply with our Community Standards (Section 11) when commenting on or reacting to livestreams and Moments, including prohibitions on harassment of broadcasters and other viewers.

8.3 — No Guarantee of Content Availability

Sonnet does not guarantee that any particular stream or Moment will remain available, as broadcasters may end streams or delete content at any time.

09
Virtual Gifts & Purchases
9.1 — Payment Processing

All in-app purchases, including virtual currency used for gifts, are processed exclusively through Apple App Store or Google Play. Sonnet does not store your payment card details.

9.2 — Virtual Currency & Gifts

Virtual currency purchased within Sonnet has no cash value outside the Service, is non-transferable between accounts, and may not be redeemed for cash except where Sonnet expressly offers a creator payout program subject to separate terms.

9.3 — No Refund Obligations

Except as required by applicable law or app store policies, all virtual currency and gift purchases are final. Refund requests must be directed to the relevant app store platform.

9.4 — Creator Earnings

Where Sonnet offers a program allowing creators to convert received gifts into payouts, such programs are subject to separate eligibility criteria and payout terms made available within the Service.

10
User-Generated Content
10.1 — Your Responsibility

You are solely responsible for all content you publish or submit through the Service, including livestreams, Moments, comments, and messages. By submitting content, you represent and warrant that you own or have all necessary rights to it and that it complies with these Terms and all applicable laws.

10.2 — License Grant

By publishing UGC publicly on Sonnet, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute your content within the Service and in connection with promoting Sonnet, subject to your visibility settings. You retain ownership of all original content you create.

10.3 — No Endorsement

Publication of UGC on Sonnet does not constitute our endorsement or verification of that content.

10.4 — Content Deletion

You may delete your published content at any time. Deleted content is removed from public view within 48 hours, from production servers within 30 days, and from backup archives within 90 days.

11
Community Standards
11.1 — The Sonnet Spirit

Sonnet is built for people to share their talent and support each other's creative journeys. We ask all members to engage with encouragement, respect, and genuine appreciation of others' work.

11.2 — No Harassment or Abuse

You may not use Sonnet to harass, bully, threaten, or target any individual, including broadcasters, viewers, or other community members. Violations result in immediate enforcement action and may be reported to law enforcement.

11.3 — No Hate Speech

Content promoting hatred or discrimination against individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic is strictly prohibited.

11.4 — No Sexually Explicit Content

Sonnet is a talent and lifestyle platform, not an adult content platform. Sexually explicit content, nudity intended to be sexually gratifying, and sexual solicitation are strictly prohibited during livestreams, in Moments, and in comments.

11.5 — No Deceptive Impersonation

You may not impersonate any person, including public figures, other creators, or Sonnet representatives, or use manipulated media (such as deepfakes) to misrepresent who is appearing in a broadcast or Moment.

11.6 — No Spam or Unauthorized Solicitation

You may not use Sonnet's livestreaming, Moments, or comment features to post spam, unsolicited commercial messages, or unauthorized promotions.

12
Intellectual Property
12.1 — Sonnet's Property

All rights, title, and interest in the Service — including the Sonnet name, logo, application design, interface, software, and all proprietary technology — are owned by or licensed to Sonnet and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

12.2 — Your UGC

You retain ownership of your original livestreams, Moments, and other UGC, subject to the license grant in Section 10.2.

12.3 — Performance & Third-Party Rights

If your broadcast or Moment includes copyrighted material you do not own (such as music, choreography, or performances by others), you are solely responsible for ensuring you have the necessary rights or that your use qualifies for a recognized exception under applicable law. Sonnet may remove content in response to valid infringement claims.

12.4 — Feedback

If you submit ideas, suggestions, or feedback about the Service, you agree that Sonnet may use such feedback freely without obligation. You assign to Sonnet all intellectual property rights in such feedback to the extent assignable under applicable law.

12.5 — Copyright Notices

If you believe content on Sonnet infringes your copyright, email service@sonnet.run with subject "Copyright Notice" including identification of the protected work, identification and location of the allegedly infringing content, your contact details, a good-faith belief statement, and a declaration of accuracy and authority.

13
Child Safety & CSAE Policy
13.1 — Age Restriction

Sonnet is exclusively for users 18 years of age or older. We implement date-of-birth verification at registration, and our real-person liveness check provides an additional safeguard for broadcasting and Moments. Confirmed underage accounts are immediately and permanently terminated with all associated data deleted.

13.2 — Parental Notification

If you are a parent or guardian and believe a minor has created a Sonnet account, contact us immediately at service@sonnet.run. We will investigate and, where confirmed, permanently delete the account and all associated data without delay.

13.3 — Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE)
Zero tolerance — absolute and without exception. Sonnet enforces an unconditional zero-tolerance policy toward any content, conduct, or activity that constitutes, facilitates, promotes, or glorifies Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE) in any form. Prohibited conduct includes without limitation: child sexual abuse material (CSAM); grooming, solicitation, or exploitation of individuals under 18; and any content depicting, targeting, or endangering persons under 18 — including during live broadcasts.

We deploy automated CSAM hash-matching on uploaded and recorded media, AI-assisted content analysis (including real-time signals during livestreams), and dedicated human safety reviewers. Upon confirmed detection or credible report: all associated content is immediately and permanently removed and live broadcasts are terminated instantly; the responsible account is permanently terminated and all associated identifiers are blocked; a mandatory report is filed with the NCMEC CyberTipline or the legally required equivalent national authority; and we cooperate fully with all resulting law enforcement investigations. CSAE-related terminations carry no right of appeal.

To report: use the in-app Report function on any content, stream, or user profile, or email service@sonnet.run immediately with subject "CSAE Report." These are our highest-priority safety matter, actioned without delay.
14
License to Use the Service
14.1 — Limited License

Subject to your full and continued compliance with these Terms, Sonnet grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable, limited license to install and use the Sonnet application on devices you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial use to access the Service as intended.

14.2 — Restrictions

This license does not include any right to: sublicense, resell, or commercially exploit the Service; copy, modify, or create derivative works based on the Service; scrape, record, or systematically extract livestream or Moments content; reverse engineer or disassemble any part of the Service; access the Service via automated means including bots or scrapers; or circumvent any security, verification, or access control feature.

14.3 — Reservation of Rights

All rights not expressly granted are reserved by Sonnet. Unauthorized use terminates your license and may expose you to legal liability.

15
Third-Party Services
15.1 — Live Video Infrastructure

Sonnet relies on third-party live-streaming and CDN infrastructure to deliver broadcasts. Service quality, including latency and reliability, may be affected by factors outside our control.

15.2 — External Links

The Service may contain links to external resources. Sonnet is not responsible for the content, accuracy, or privacy practices of any third-party site. Visiting external links is at your own risk.

17

17.1 — Moderation Rights

Sonnet reserves the right, but not the obligation, to review, moderate, interrupt, remove, or take action on any content, livestream, or user behavior at any time, in its sole discretion, without prior notice. Moderation uses automated screening, real-time signals during broadcasts, and human review guided by these Terms and our Community Guidelines.

17.2 — User Reporting

17.3 — Enforcement Actions

Violations may result in: a warning; content or stream removal; temporary feature restrictions (including suspension of broadcasting or Moments access); temporary account suspension; or permanent account termination. For CSAE violations or severe illegal conduct, immediate permanent termination and law enforcement referral occur without warning or appeal.

17.4 — Appeals

Where applicable law does not permit certain caps, Sonnet's liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted.

Except for small claims court matters and except where prohibited by applicable law, all disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by a recognized arbitral institution in the jurisdiction of Sonnet's principal place of business. 22.3 — Class Action Waiver

YOU AND SONNET EACH WAIVE THE RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL AND TO PARTICIPATE IN ANY CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT OR CLASS-WIDE ARBITRATION. All claims must be brought individually. If this waiver is found unenforceable for any claim, the arbitration provision in Section 22.2 shall not apply to that claim.

22.4 — Jurisdictional Exceptions
